These beautiful birds are Spoonbills from Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Karnataka; deriving their name from unique shape of their beaks which is flattened & flared at the end like a spoon. Declared a sanctuary in 1940, it is home to around 170 bird species. )
It is in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district of the state of Karnataka in India. It is the largest bird sanctuary in the state, 40 acres (16 ha) in area, and comprises six islets on the banks of the Kaveri river.
