Locals in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram will declare that a weekend drive to Ponmudi ( The Golden Peak ) is among the fashionable ways to spend time in the city. Trekking to Varayadumotta, the most popular journeying trail in Ponmudi, offers a panoramic view of the hills along with the Nilgiri Tahrs.
